We have been using WordPress since 2010, and we are constantly frustrated by two issues: the lack of features in WordPress, and the number of plugins we need to maintain to make our sites functional.
For the first, we always feel that some of the important features should be part of the WordPress Core and not extended using plugins. Examples of this include custom post status, SMTP mailer, contact form, etc. In the end, we have to install many plugins just to enable these basic features. This leads to the second issue: maintenance of plugins is becoming a tedious task as many plugins conflict with each other, and we have to spend a lot of time to troubleshoot it or install another plugin to replace it.
Over the years, we’ve gathered a collection of code snippets, mods, hacks and also created various custom modules to reduce bloat and solve issues. And now, we’ve decided to create an all-in-one plugin to solve the issue for good. This is how Yipresser and Admin Optimizer were created.
As its name implies, Admin Optimizer serves to optimize WordPress Core and reduces the number of plugins you need. It increases the functionality (and security) of your WordPress site while eliminating hassle and reducing time needed to maintain plugins.
The person behind Yipresser
Yipresser was founded and created by Damien Oh. Damien has been a long time WordPress user, developer and co-founder of the WordPress meetup user group in his region.
Damien started out as a WordPress user before he ventured to become a freelance WordPress theme/plugins developer. After a few years of development, he started a publication business, where he runs a few media sites (all running on WordPress) that are still active today. During his tenure as the business owner, he is also the chief developer where he developed several custom plugins for in-house use. Some of them have been integrated into Admin Optimizer.
